To Whom It May Concern
I have been working at the Common Ground Health Clinic as a nurse since September 16, 2005. Common Ground is a free clinic that was established after Hurricane Katrina in the neighborhood of Algiers, LA. It is staffed by MD’s, nurses, midwives, herbalists, and massage therapists.
Acupuncturists Without Borders has been working with Common Ground since October 11, 2005. They have provided an incredibly valuable service to both patients and staff. It’s been my observation that those who have received treatment have benefited with reduced stress and increased ability to deal with the traumas of this situation. Acupuncture has also been a great support for the staff who work long and difficult hours.
AWB has been flexible, compassionate and easy to work with in a challenging environment. The collaboration of Eastern and Western approaches to healing benefits everyone. This is the future of medicine.
Thank you
