Colectivo CARE

Colectivo CARE logo Colectivo CARE (Community Alliance for Resilience and Equity) is a collaborative initiative led by Acupuncturists Without Borders, Livity Rising, and the Integrative Healers Action Network. CARE provides trauma-informed, integrative care to reduce pain, stress, and suffering in Santa Cruz County communities impacted by disasters, poverty, health inequities, and social injustice, with a particular focus on farmworkers.

Colectivo CARE providing community-based care Farmworkers face disproportionate physical and mental health challenges due to demanding labor conditions, low wages, exposure to pesticides, limited access to care, immigration-related stress, and repeated crises such as wildfires and COVID-19. Many experience chronic pain, anxiety, depression, and trauma, yet have little access to non-pharmacological healing services.

Colectivo CARE addresses this gap by offering accessible, culturally responsive care that supports physical healing, emotional regulation, and long-term resilience for farmworkers and their families—strengthening individual and community well-being while honoring the essential role farmworkers play in our food system.
